1. Britney Spears
One of my inspirations not only fashion wise, but also artistically is Britney Spears. Ever since I was a little girl, Britney was always someone who I looked up to. She is an amazing example of how determination can make – even the things that seem impossible- possible. I love her style, her music, movies and her numerous guest-starring roles on TV; I also love the way that she emphasizes being yourself and having self-respect; besides, if you don’t respect yourself, who’s going to respect you. I like to mimic her classy, elegant style sometimes, and even her casual (street-style) at other times. Britney Spears, Princess of Pop, the REAL Queen B,Britney Jean, Pinky, Brit-Brit; whatever you want to call her, Britney Spears is a style icon that I personally look up to.
“I dress the way I want. I don’t pretend to be someone I’m not.”
2. Jessica Biel
Another one of my inspirations is Jessica Biel. Other than her breath-taking style and incomperable fashion sense, I am also respectful of her self worth and encouraging quotes. She also stresses difference and uniqueness and the fact that anything and everything is possible as long as you put your mind to it. This multi-talented TV and Movie actress, and model is world renowned by her performances in Seventh Heaven, The A Team, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry and her numerous magazine cover-shoots. I think that her “fashion evolution” is a perfect example of an average kid, that was able to make it big as a Hollywood actress.
“I literally wore Umbro shorts, No Fear T-shirts, and sneakers until I was, like, 15. I didn’t care, and my mom didn’t care. I didn’t have fashion icons. I looked up to [soccer player] Mia Hamm.”
It would be an under-statement to say that Gwen Stefani is one of my inspirations. Gwen has taught us through the years that she is never going to be just “plain-vanilla” from her music to her fashion; she is one of the most unique (in a good way!!!!) people in the music industry today. In today’s world there is always a stress on teenagers especially to dress the same , or do their hair the same way as everyone else. This is done just “Fit-in”. Gwen Stefani has shown us that there is nothing wrong with being creative with your style, music, artwork, just to name a few.
“Music and fashion, it all comes from the same place of creativity, … I don’t see why any musician who has style or pays attention to style couldn’t do it fashion. It’s an extension of my personality. I can’t explain why I like it, it’s just always been that way for me like pizza.”
5. Hayley Williams
Hayley Williams from Paramore (Hayley Williams, Taylor York and Jeremy Davis) isn’t afraid to rock plaid and stripes or Red and Pink hair.I love her fearless fashion sense as well as her amazing Rock n’ Roll music. Hayley shows us each day that women are able to achieve anything that men can.She expresses and embraces her creativity and fearlessness through her amazing music, performances and style. Hayley is one of the best female Rock n’ Roll singers EVER and she has an amazing and unique fashion sense.
“My take on beauty: Do what you want and you can’t go wrong,”
